riding lessons
​You gain a horses trust with clear and honest communication. Every gesture you make means
something to them.

  • Learn the basics of horse riding.
  • Learn fun facts about horses.
  • Learn how to do groundwork with your horse.
  • Learn how to tack-up and un-tack.
  • Fun games and obstacle courses.
  • Learn how to bathe your horse (summer).

Lesson Cancellation Policy:
Please do not come to your lesson if you are sick. Follow what you would do for school/work. Please stay home and get well if you have a fever, vomiting, etc. 

Please notify Rice's Horses at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson if you need to cancel for any reason (including illness or injury), request to switch lesson participate(s), change the number of riders, use the non-refundable lesson payment or gift certificate payment to reschedule the lesson or use the lesson payment for any horse service based on availability.

For any cancellations for any reason (including illness or injury), no-show, or number of riders change within 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson, payment and gift certificate payment is non-transferable and non-refundable. Requesting to switch lesson participate(s) within 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson does not apply. If Rice's Horses cancels your scheduled lesson(s) for any reason, lesson payment is transferable of any horse service based on availability.

​If a guided trail ride is part of the lesson and is canceled by Rice's Horses due to any reason, and as weather allows, the lesson will only be indoor arena riding. You can ride (as weather allows) outside by the barn and pastures and then back into our indoor riding arena with a fun obstacle course!

For Groups or Individuals:
  • Practice (mini lesson) in arena and learn how to ride your horse.
  • We have trails lead around our beautiful property that allow for beginners and advanced riders.
  • A staff member will be with you to ensure safety while riding.

birthday party packages

Birthday parties are for kids and adults. Each Birthday Party Package includes a gift from Rice's Horses for the birthday boy or girl!

  • 1-4 riders are only $40 per rider.

  •  1-4 riders are only $55 per rider.

Equestrian Package:
  •  1-4 riders are only $60 per rider.
  • Ride outside by the barn and pastures as weather allows and back into our indoor arena with a fun obstacle course for 45 minutes.
  • Barn time for 15 minutes to brush horses, color hair extensions available to braid mane (optional) and learn fun facts about horses.
  • Learn fun facts about horses, horse coloring books, and activities available.
  •  1 hour
Ranch Package:
  •  5-8 riders are only $50 per rider.
  • Ride outside by the barn and pastures as weather allows and back into our indoor arena with a fun obstacle course.
  • Learn fun facts about horses.
  • Horse coloring books, and activities available.
  •  1 hour 

Add any or all of these options:
  • Check out our miniature horses at Mini packages to meet, take a cart ride, etc.
  • Watch our 2 miniature horses run around in the covered arena, pet, and get pictures with them for only $25 total.
  • Barn time to take off a saddle, brush a horse, color hair extensions available to braid mane, learn horse care and fun facts is only $15/kid for 15 minutes or $25/kid for 30 minutes.
  • ​Party/game room (can do presents, food, drinks and cake *no alcohol*) with foosball, cornhole, magnetic darts, ping pong, air hockey, bumper pool, horse bingo, puzzles, coloring books, wooden animal barn, tractors and books for only $35 for 30 minutes, $50 for 45 minutes or $65 for only 60 minutes.
  • Eye-spy horse bingo is only $5/kid.
  • Ride a unicorn for only $20. Each additional unicorn is only $5/horse.
  • Scavenger hunt is only $5/kid.
  • Horse craft is only $8/kid.

custom camps

We offer fun custom family camps, sibling(s) with friends, mom and kid(s), dad and kid(s) and adult camps to build special memories with your loved ones! Gather your friends and family ages 5 and up for a fun time with our horses! Call the office at 503-320-7174 for prices and more information!

Activities to choose from for your custom camp:
  • Ride outside by the barn and pastures as weather allows and back into our indoor arena with a fun obstacle course.
  • Learn fun facts about horses.
  • Can do some or all of these activities for ages 8 and up: learn groundwork, gaming patterns, cleanings stalls, tack and untack your horse, bathe a horse (weather dependent) and braid mane (color hair extensions available).
  • Learn basic care of a horse.
  • Pet and brush a horse.
  • Miniature horses activities can include taking a cart ride, watch them run around in our indoor arena, walk them around, pet and get pictures with them.
  • ​Game room (can bring food and drinks - no alcohol) with foosball, cornhole, magnetic darts, ping pong, air hockey, bumper pool, horse bingo, puzzles, coloring books, wooden animal barn, tractors and books.
  • Eye-spy horse bingo and/or a scavenger hunt.
  • Horse themed crafts and games.

Custom Camp Cancellation Policy:
​Please notify Rice's Horses at least 7 days prior to the scheduled camp if you need to cancel for any reason, request to switch camp participate(s) or change the number of riders to use 40% of the camp payment to reschedule for any horse service of the canceled rider(s) payment based on availability.

For any cancellations, no-show, or number of riders change within 7 days prior to the scheduled camp, payment is non-transferable and non-refundable. Requesting to switch camp participate(s) within 7 days prior to the scheduled camp does not apply.

If a guided trail ride is part of the scheduled camp and is canceled by Rice's Horses due to any reason, then the camp will only be indoor (as weather allows) arena riding along with the other planned activities. You can ride outside by the barn and pastures as weather allows and then back into our indoor riding arena with a fun obstacle course!

If Rice's Horses cancels your scheduled camp for any reason, 40% of each scheduled rider(s) camp payment is transferable to reschedule for any horse service based on availability.

Cancellation Policy, Rainy Days,

For any cancellations for any reason (including illness, injury), no-shows or number of riders change within 48 hours prior to your scheduled ride/party non-refundable deposit is non-transferable or 50% of a gift certificate payment is transferable. Requesting to switch rider(s) within 48 hours prior to the scheduled ride/party does not apply. If you decide to cancel your guided trail ride because of the weather and the ride is still "a go", the non-refundable deposit is non-transferable. Requesting to switch rider(s) within 48 hours prior to the scheduled ride/party does not apply.

If Rice's Horses cancels your scheduled ride/party etc., for any reason, and at any time, the non-refundable deposit is transferable, or the gift certificate payment is transferable of any horse service based on availability.

For everyone's safety, all guests (riders and non-riders) must be able to speak and understand English. We reserve the right to decline anyone the privilege to be on the property or to ride if any of the rules (on the website, in text or in person) are not followed for everyone's safety. Thank you for your understading.

 We accept payments via PAyPal, Card, Cash app or cash. All rides and services require a deposit or paid in full before scheduled lesson, ride or party.
